Cast A Shadow

Luke is a lovely affectionate boy. He has been in foster care and learned all the tricks of the household. Luke has socialised with other breeds and sizes of dogs and is best suited with medium to large dogs. Luke has been around children without issue but as he can be excited is better suited to older children.

Luke has been to Agfest and Bunnings to participate in Gap displays and has loved all the attention. Luke has been on offsite walks many times to different locations and has always enjoyed the walks. Luke is not suitable for children or elderly to walk as he can be strong when he chooses.

Some foster notes

He is very reliably house trained, he will whine to be let out and back in again.

Is happy to meet new people and looks for attention in a polite and calm manner. He does not jump up and is not boisterous at all.

He has met, seen and heard children of all ages and does not react negatively. He was in an elevator where there was a child and had no negative reaction towards her. She was around 6 or 7 years old. He has not been patted by them but has mingled closely in  group  of people. We believe that Luke is suitable for a home with older children. He loves a zoomie and the brakes tend to fail.

Luke sleeps inside, on his bed in our bedroom. He settles well and sleeps through until 6 O’Clock when he is let out. He comes back in again and will sleep through until 7-7:30am.

There has been no destructive or collecting behaviour from Luke. He will wrestle with his caterpillar happily and is not trying to rip it apart. He is the same with his teddy.  He loves the Kong squeaky ball and will race around the garden with it squeaking loudly.

Luke has been a joy to foster and has grown in personality in the three weeks. He is so comfortable in the house and gardens. He chooses to lie quietly on his lounge room bed or on his bed in our bedroom when in the house.

He has never stolen food or bench surfed and is a quiet, friendly gentleman. Like all dogs he needs guidance and consistency to elicit the desired behaviour. As we all know, they like to know the boundaries.
